Hunter’s great when you just need email addresses fast. But once you want deeper B2B data, phone numbers, LinkedIn scraping, or more powerful lead generation databases, it starts to feel… limited.

So here’s my take on the best Hunter.io competitors I’ve actually used this year—cutting the fluff, diving straight into features, how they work, and what they’re actually good at.

    1. ZoomInfo – The Corporate Juggernaut

    zoominfo_1

    Core Features:
Huge B2B leads database, direct dials, org charts, intent data, technographics, and sales triggers.

    How It Works:
Search by company, persona, or trigger (e.g., funding raised) and export verified leads. Syncs beautifully with CRMs like HubSpot and Salesforce.

    What I Liked:

    • Goldmine for enterprise sales.

    • Crazy detailed company intel.

    • Intent data helps you hit buyers when they’re hot.

    What I Didn’t Like:

    • Costs a small fortune.

    • Overkill if you’re SMB or solo.

    Pricing:
Custom quote. Starts ~$15K/year for real access.

    Verdict:
Great if you’ve got budget and need depth beyond emails—not for scrappy solopreneurs.

    2. RocketReach – Easy Mode for Contact Data

    rocketreach_1

    Core Features:
Email + phone lookup, LinkedIn plugin, team and company search.

    How It Works:
Type in a person or company and it pulls verified contact data. Dead simple UI. Great for quick prospecting.

    What I Liked:

    • Straightforward and clean.

    • Pretty good accuracy.

    • Nice little Chrome extension.

    What I Didn’t Like:

    • Data can be hit or miss.

    • No outreach automation.

    Pricing:
    Starts at $53/month.

    Verdict:
Great if you want Hunter-style simplicity with more data—solid mid-tier Hunter alternative.

    3. Kaspr – Built for LinkedIn Prospecting

    kaspr_1

    Core Features:
Email + phone extractor via LinkedIn, contact enrichment, CRM integrations, drip emails.

    How It Works:
You browse LinkedIn and Kaspr pulls email + phone numbers in real time. It’s like having an AI SDR on your browser.

    What I Liked:

    • Chrome extension = 💯.

    • Direct dials are often spot on.

    • Basic drip campaigns are a bonus.

    What I Didn’t Like:

    • Needs LinkedIn Sales Nav for full power.

    • EU phone numbers better than US.

    Pricing:
Free plan available. Paid starts at €49/month.

    Verdict:
Way more useful than Hunter if you’re on LinkedIn all day. I use it weekly.

    4. LeadIQ – Prospecting + Personalization Combo

    leadiq_1

    Core Features:
Email + phone finder, LinkedIn plugin, real-time enrichment, and cold outreach personalization.

    How It Works:
Use it while browsing LinkedIn. It pulls verified contact data and lets you write semi-personalized messages fast.

    What I Liked:

    • Loved the real-time enrichment.

    • Makes cold outreach less… cold.

    • Good HubSpot sync.

    What I Didn’t Like:

    • Credits burn fast.

    • Bit pricey for solo users.

    Pricing:
Free plan. Paid starts at $75/month.

    Verdict:
More than just an email finder—it’s for reps who care about personalization. Good step up from Hunter.

    5. Apollo.io – All-In-One Sales OS

    apollo_1

    Core Features:
B2B lead database, email + phone finder, email sequencing, LinkedIn scraping, intent filters, and CRM.

    How It Works:
You find leads using filters (job title, industry, tech stack, etc.), validate contact info, and run outreach sequences—all in one app.

    What I Liked:

    • Massive B2B contact database.

    • Email sequences + LinkedIn scraping = chef’s kiss.

    • Clean UI, easy workflows.

    What I Didn’t Like:

    • Gets pricey at scale.

    • Deliverability needs warmup work.

    Pricing:
Free plan (with limits). Paid starts at $49/month.

    Verdict:
The best value-for-money Hunter alternative out there. If you only pick one—make it Apollo.

    6. SalesIntel – Human-Verified Data That’s Actually Accurate

    salesintel_1

    Core Features:
B2B leads database, 95%+ human-verified emails + numbers, firmographics, intent signals.

    How It Works:
Use filters to find your ICP, then export contact info that’s been verified by an actual person—not just bots.

    What I Liked:

    • Data quality is 🔥

    • Real humans validate info = fewer bounces

    • Bomb intent data with Bombora

    What I Didn’t Like:

    • UI feels a bit dated

    • Not cheap

    Pricing:
Custom pricing (but def for serious teams)

    Verdict:
If you’re tired of Hunter’s bounces—this is a big upgrade.

    7. LeadSwift – Local Biz Lead Hunter

    leadswift_1

    Core Features:
Local lead scraping from Google Maps + websites. Pulls biz names, emails, phones, reviews, etc.

    How It Works:
Enter a niche + location, and it scrapes local leads across the web.

    What I Liked:

    • Perfect for local marketing agencies

    • One-time purchase options

    • Includes site + social data

    What I Didn’t Like:

    • Mostly SMB/local use

    • Doesn’t verify emails deeply

    Pricing:
    One-time ~$37 or more w/ upsells

    Verdict:
Solid for local lead gen—not built for SaaS or enterprise.

    8. LeadScrape – Bulk Email Scraping on Steroids

    leadscrape_1

    Core Features:
Scrape business leads by industry, location, size. Bulk export emails, phones, addresses.

    How It Works:
Pick a niche + geo. It scrapes directories and dumps it all into a CSV. Think brute force.

    What I Liked:

    • Fast AF

    • Dirt cheap

    • Good volume for small spend

    What I Didn’t Like:

    • Data needs cleaning

    • Lots of generic company emails

    Pricing:
    One-time license ~$97

    Verdict:
    Budget tool. Scraper—not a smart B2B database.

    9. Skrapp – Email Finder for LinkedIn Prospecting

    skrapp_1

    Core Features:
Find B2B emails from LinkedIn or by domain. Lightweight, just like Hunter.

    • No phone numbers

    • Very basic platform

    Pricing:
Free plan. Paid starts at $49/month.

    Verdict:
Basically a clone of Hunter—but smoother in some ways.

    snov_1

    Core Features:
Email finder, verifier, cold outreach automation, drip sequences, and tracking.

    How It Works:

    • You’ll pay for the time

    Pricing:

    What I Didn’t Like:

    • UI feels dated

    • Pricey if you’re scaling fast

    Pricing:
    Starts at $147/month

    Verdict:
Smarter than Hunter. If you need better targeting, this one’s worth it.

    14. Instantly.ai – Cold Email Beast

    instantly_1

    Core Features:
Massive cold email platform. Unlimited sending accounts, warm-up, inbox rotation, campaign analytics.

    What I Liked:

    • Scales like crazy

    • Built-in warmup is 🔥

    • Actually boosts deliverability

    What I Didn’t Like:

    • Doesn’t include lead data

    • Learning curve for non-email nerds

    Pricing:
    Starts at $37/month

    Verdict:
Perfect combo with Hunter, Apollo, or LeadFuze—but it’s not a data source.

    brevo_1

    Core Features:
